By some types of
industrial and agricultural drying facilities TÜKI is generally using monoblock
gas or oil burners.
Such thermogenerators
operating with one or two compact burners are primarily operating in brick and
tile industry and these facilities were manufactured already in the years of
70-ies. The flue gas of these burning appliances is mixed with secondary air in
its internal chamber in order to generate the required temperature of flue
gas/air mixture.
By a special version of
this concept is a relatively small capacity design, where series manufactured
furnace burners are used. The combustion process takes place with perpendicular
flame axis to the air to be heated, insulating and protecting the part of the
volume where combustion is going. Many of such facilities were used for
fluorescent lamp technologies.
Similar solution is
applied by combustion chamber of flue-gas generators with ceramic lining too.
But by these mentioned facilities because of the given technical features much
higher flue-gas/air mixture temperature can be reached (max. 1400 °C). Such
flue-gas generators can be applied in cement industry for drying of clay, for
firing of rotary drum furnaces for alumina production and for drying of sugar
beet in sugar industry.
Ejector operated umbrella
type burners were primary used for firing of agricultural drying facilities
consisting of 250 kW capacity prefabricated module units in accordance with the
required capacity demand and space requirements. These appliances can be used
on natural gas, PB resp. on propane gas firing mounted both in the suction
pressure duct of drying air.
